GUITAR PLAYER
Hello to all of you.
My name is Daniel Oman.
I‘m a guitar teacher / composer / live musician based in Austria. I studied the classical guitar at conservatory and made my exams in the late 90‘s.
I made a 1st prize at international guitar competition of OPEN STRINGS Guitar Festival in Osnabrück/Germany.
Since then I work as a live musician in a wide variety of musical genres and teach guitar for a living at Austrias biggest Music School in the city of Linz.

COMPOSING FOR GUITAR/PUBLISHING
I always created smaller or larger tunes for guitar since my very first days of playing. I love to compose and the fascination for it keeps me going on and on. I never lost any interest in the whole thing and never wanted to do anything else in my life.
In the first lockdown of the year 2020 I came in contact with a German publisher for acoustic guitar music and began to work on my first collection of tunes, called THE MAGIC LANTERN. The book was published in 2021 and I started my youtube channel, presenting the compositions and trying to create a little growing audience.
The 2nd collection of compositions named OPEN SKY came along in 2022 with Austrian publishing company songbooks.info. This edition was oriented more in online selling and reaching listeners and guitar players through the internet, a way I really appreciate and so the idea came to mind to create the GUITAR GARDEN.
Since I write a lot of guitar music for different needs and playing levels, for my students, my personal joy or sometimes for experimenting on new styles, I wanted to have a kind of personal platform for presenting my new creations immediately, and not to wait until there are enough of them composed to publish another book.
Also styles and ideas change a lot in a few months, or sometimes I write a piece around a certain lesson-topic. So this little website in combination with my youtube channel and my online publisher are a dream come true for me and a great way to share all I do with a growing audience.
BOOKS & ARRANGEMENTS
Of course I also love printed sheet music. In the old days when I studied guitar, books were the only source to get information. Most of my compositions are/and will be collected in form of printed books and eBooks, sold by my publisher songbooks.info

The Austrian Art Gang was founded in 2013.
It’s a crossover project with music of J.S.Bach focusing on The Art Of Fugue and the Musical Offering.
